Attorney Profiles
William N. Wright is an Associate in Cummings & Lockwood's Litigation Group and is based in the Stamford office. He primarily practices in the areas of commercial litigation and trust and probate litigation. Will represents individuals and institutional clients in a broad range of matters, including breach of contract actions, partnership disputes, employment cases, trust and will contests, lease disputes and other real estate matters as well as tax appeals involving both residential and commercial properties.
Scott T. Witthuhn is an Associate in Cummings & Lockwood's Commercial Real Estate Group and is based in the Stamford office. Scott’s practice covers a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and development of office, retail, hotel, industrial and multifamily assets. He has experience in portfolio transactions, joint ventures, equity investments, leasing and mortgage financings.
Cara Howe Santoro is Counsel in Cummings & Lockwood's Private Clients Group and is based in the Stamford office. Cara advises individuals and entities on a broad range of state, federal and international tax issues. She counsels charitable and other nonprofit organizations on issues related to their tax-exempt status, including formation, governance and compliance. She also assists donors with developing and implementing their charitable giving goals. Cara works with individuals on personal tax planning and helps family businesses to operate and provide for intergenerational transfers in a tax efficient manner.
Katherine (“Kacie”) Cotter Gent is an Associate in Cummings & Lockwood’s Private Clients Group and is based in the Greenwich office. Kacie joined Cummings & Lockwood in 2016 and focuses her practice on estate planning, which includes the drafting of Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Health Care documents. She also advises high net worth individuals on estate and taxation issues, including estate and gift tax planning, generation-skipping transfer tax planning and income tax planning. In addition, Kacie has experience with estate and trust administration, in which she represents Executors/Personal Representatives and Trustees and assists such fiduciaries throughout the estate and trust administration process.
Brianna L. Marquis is an Associate in Cummings & Lockwood's Private Clients Group and is based in the West Hartford office. Brianna joined Cummings & Lockwood in 2017, and counsels high net worth individuals in the areas of trust and estate planning, charitable giving, tax efficient wealth transfers and related residential real estate transactions. Brianna is responsible for drafting a broad range of estate planning documents for clients including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Advanced Medical Directives. She also has experience representing Executors throughout the estate administration process. Prior to joining Cummings & Lockwood, Brianna focused her practice on estate planning. She has also interned at various organizations, including the City of Waterbury Corporation Counsel’s Office and the Office of the Connecticut Attorney General.
