William N. Wright, Litigation Attorney, Promoted to Partner at Cummings & Lockwood LLC

Cummings & Lockwood is pleased to announce that William N. Wright, an attorney in the firm’s Litigation Group and based in their Stamford, Connecticut office, has been elected to Partner, effective January 1, 2022.
“We are delighted to have Will join our partnership. He has demonstrated strong legal skills, character, work ethic, maturity, teamwork and judgement. This is a well-deserved promotion and we wish him every success in his new position,” noted Johnathan B. Mills, Chairman and Managing Director of Cummings & Lockwood.
Will primarily practices in the areas of commercial litigation and trust and probate litigation, and was recognized as among the “Ones to Watch” by The Best Lawyers in America in 2021.
He represents individuals and institutional clients in a broad range of legal matters, including contract and partnership disputes, employment actions, trust and will contests, probate appeals and other real estate matters, including lease disputes and residential and commercial tax appeals.
Will has also represented clients in appeals before state and federal courts, including the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts and United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. After graduating law school and prior to entering private practice, Will served as a law clerk to Judge Robert E. Beach of the Connecticut Appellate Court.
Will received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law where he served as an editor of the Connecticut Law Review, and he received his B.A. from Boston College.
He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Fairfield County Bar Association and The Raymond E. Baldwin American Inn of Court.
Will is a leader of People Friendly Stamford, a local safe streets advocacy group, and has also volunteered at the Saint Joseph Parenting Center in Stamford.
Will and his wife, Lauren, and their two children live in Stamford in the Pepper Ridge neighborhood.
