Kelley Galica Peck Has Joined Cummings & Lockwood as a Principal in the Private Clients Group in the Firm's West Hartford Office

Cummings & Lockwood is pleased to announce that Kelley Galica Peck has joined the Firm as a Principal in the Private Clients Group in the Firm’s West Hartford office.  Kelley has significant experience working with individuals and families to plan for the management, protection and transfer of wealth, including succession planning for owners of closely held businesses. She handles complex charitable gift planning, estate planning for nontraditional families, planning for protection and preservation of assets, and estate, gift and income tax return preparation and review.  She also represents individuals, professional fiduciaries and beneficiaries in contested and uncontested matters in the probate courts.

“Kelley brings with her over 18 years of experience in estate and trust planning and probate law,” said Jonathan B. Mills, Firm-wide Chairman and Managing Director.  “We are extremely pleased to have her return to Cummings & Lockwood where she worked from 1998 to 2004 in the Firm’s Hartford and West Hartford offices.”

Kelley is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and is an adjunct professor of law at Western New England College School of Law in the Master of Laws (LL.M.) program.  She is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated in Martindale-Hubbell™ in the areas of Trusts and Estates, Asset Protection, Elder Law, Guardianship and Conservatorship, Probate, Taxation and Nonprofit and Charitable Organizations.  Kelley was also recognized as a Notable Practitioner by Chambers and Partners in the inaugural issue of its High Net Worth Guide, as well as named among the 2017 Best Lawyers in America for Trusts and Estates.

Kelley earned her LL.M. degree from Western New England University School of Law in Estate Planning and Elder Law, her J.D, summa cum laude, from Western New England University School of Law, and her B.S. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Florida Southern College.  Kelley is admitted to practice in Connecticut and before the U.S. Tax Court.
